#24 Jeff Gordon finally ended a career-long 47-race winless streak by taking the checkered flag in the Samsung 500 at Texas motor Speedway. The victory brought his first win at Texas, first win in 2009 and places him one win behind Cale Yarborough on the all-time win list with 82.

Race Win: Goody's Fast Pain Relief 500, Martinsville Speedway Date: Sunday, March 29th, 2009 On the 25th anniversary of Rick Hendrick's first Sprint Cup win as a car owner, it was more of the same for Hendrick and Jimmie Johnson in the Lowe's Chevrolet Impala SS. An aggressive pass on lap 485 of the Goody's Fast Pain Relief 500 gave Jimmie Johnson the lead at Martinsville Speedway, and he pulled away to win by .774 seconds.

The victory was Johnson's first of the season and the 41st of his career; he now has six wins at Martinsville- five in the past six races. It was Hendrick's 18th win at the .526mile track.
