On February 22, 1959 the first Daytona 500 was run before a crowd of 41,000 fans. This 200 lap, 500 mile, race is held annually in Daytona Beach, Florida at the start of the NASCAR season. Widely regarded as the most important and prestigious race on the NASCAR calendar the Daytona 500 brought more popularity to the sport over the years granting it 
the title of "The Great American Race". This February 2008, the Daytona 500 will celebrate its 50th anniversary.
To honor this milestone in NASCAR history this fantasy car commemorates the golden anniversary of the legendary race, The Daytona 500. This special Chevrolet Car of Tomorrow features a blue color scheme with the Daytona 500 50th Anniversary logo on the hood, as well as on the rear quarter panels.
This NASCAR diecast collectible will be available in 1/24 Scale Hood & Trunk opens and 1/64 scale by MA.
